What is the best engineering field to go into ?

Question by Danilo: What is the best engineering field to go into ?

I am most interested in civil engineering, but I keep hearing how there is too many of them and they have a hard time getting a good job with decent pay. I am also interested in software engineering. Money is really important to me as well, so what do you think is the best engineering field to go into (for now and the future), thanks for your time.
