How do you handle unwanted parenting criticism?

Almost all of us have at least 1 person in our lives that criticizes the way we parent our children (often a mother in law, sister in law, mother, sister or friend)

How do you handle the unwanted parenting criticism?

I'd try to be diplomatic. Thank them for the advice and tell them you will give it consideration. If it is ongoing criticism, tell them to butt out, but nicer than that ;P
