What is the difference between personal unconscious and collective unconscious?

Question by Becca S: What is the difference between personal unconscious and collective unconscious?

I'm reading a rhetoric by Carl Jung and I'm supposed to find some of the contents of the unconscious and decipher between the personal unconscious and collective unconscious. I have read the Personal and the Collective Unconscious several times and am still having trouble distinguishing between the two. Does anyone understand what he's trying to convey?

You could compare it to a person that does not collect stamps as a hobby and a group of people that don't collect stamps.
